An Ideal Companion on a Stroll around the Town
For a short walk around the town on your own we recommend our brochure “Soest Town Guide.” Beginning at the Town Hall (Rathaus) it leads you on a tour of Soest’s churches and chapels, along the town wall, past the Osthofentor and the Burghof Museum to the “Katten” Tower. Be sure not to miss a visit to the French Chapel and to the Museum of the Belgian Forces in Germany. In the brochure there is a brief description of each of the most important sights in the old town. A comprehensive map, in which the individual stages are marked, helps you find your bearings. On the reverse of the brochure our guests are furnished with a short summary of the history of Soest as well as the annual calendar of events. With this guide at hand you are well equipped for a relaxing stroll through the medieval town centre.
The old town centre of Soest is, of course, also a rewarding destination for numerous foreign visitors and for this reason the brochure is available in English, Dutch and French.
The Town Guide can now be obtained at the Tourist Information in the historical Mill at the Pond for a nominal fee of €0,50.
